WE THEN REALIZED THAT
THIS PERSON WAS OUR MOTHER!
As we left the Waiting Room, she went over to the attendant.
"You see," she told her in her limited French," I didn't come here for nothing all these days and nights. I told you that my children would return."
We were to learn shortly that approximately 1.5 million children under the age of fifteen died during these murderous times, known as "Shoah" or the Holocaust.
